AI is everywhere, from text to image making and coding and more. But what is it doing to music, and could you even tell? Pickr joins ABC Queensland Evenings to explain.
Roughly 18 percent of all music uploaded to music services is generated by AI these days, but what does that mean?
Does it mean that the music is fully AI made, or only a little bit AI, and does it even matter? Could you tell the difference between a song that was made by an AI prompt or one that was made by a human in a band.
Pickr’s Leigh Stark joins ABC Queensland Evenings with Joel Spreadborough to talk about how AI is changing music, and shows not only how people may not be able to tell the difference, but how it might be used by everyone else.
Tune into the April 22 program to hear it, listening from 22 minutes in. Make sure to listen quickly, though, because ABC normally removes the segments after a week.
