Facebook’s owner Meta is rolling out an AI assistant across all of its apps, but not everyone is happy. What can you do about it?
The buzzword for the year is clearly “AI”, and it is everywhere. In phones, laptops, cars, and now your social networking platforms, as well.
In the past few days, Meta rolled out an AI to each of its four apps — Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp — introducing many to the world of artificial intelligence who had never tried it. It can provide assistance and information, but what else does it do, and can you get rid of it?
Pickr’s editor Leigh Stark joins ABC Queensland’s Kat Feeney and Liam Renton to talk about what Meta’s new assistant does and whether you can turn it off.
Hear it at ABC Queensland Afternoons from the 15:00 mark on April 24, 2024 (at least until ABC takes the recording away, which is usually a week later).
