Across Australia, phone owners are seeing an increase in spoofed and scam calls. Pickr joins ABC to talk what’s going on.
Scams are on the increase, and you only need to look at how much money people are losing to see why. Last year in Australia alone, an estimated $2.7 billion was lost to a variety of scams, with phone scams a part of that figure.
With more and more phone scams occurring every day, Pickr’s Leigh Stark called into ABC Adelaide Mornings with David Bevan on September 12 to talk what’s happening, how spoofing works, and some of the tips you can use to prevent phone scammers from getting the better of you.
