Small businesses across Australia didn’t have the best of times getting customers to pay on Friday, September 8, as Square’s services went down nationwide. That meant cafes, hairdressers, and anyone who has largely moved on from cash had a time trying to get people to pay quickly using their phone and cards, which much of the nation uses now that cash is largely left behind.
