Snoozing through the first paragraph of this story? You might need more sleep, and if you’re a Samsung wearable owner, you might soon get some insights into how to improve that.
We could all do with a bit more sleep — some more than others — and fortunately, there’s technology that can help. Whether it’s a dedicated sleep analyser, earphones made for lulling you into a deep sleep, or a specific sleep tracking function on a smart device, there are lots of options that can help, and some you may already own.
In the next few weeks, for instance, Samsung will update its Health app on Android devices, including guidance on the optimal time to get to sleep based on your sleeping patterns and habits.
Essentially, Samsung will use a bit of a smarts and your already established data to work out when the right time would be for you to head to bed. You’ll still have to do what it says, though, and listen to your tracker.
The addition will be joined by a mindfulness tracker complete with breathing guides and meditations, and essentially provides a way for Samsung wearable owners to get a little more from their health tracker of choice, be it a Galaxy Watch or a Galaxy Ring.
That last one will also see an update shortly, too, but only if your ring size didn’t match the first release. Two larger sizes are on the way, increasing the sizes and providing a few more options for the Galaxy Ring testing kit to try out before you work out which size you’ll be using.
As for when they’ll be out, the new ring sizes will be on the way in the back half of the month, likely alongside those updates to the Health app.
