Belkin readies more power for devices aplenty in 2025

There’s no excuse to keep your phone or laptop topped up with power, as Belkin readies new power packs aplenty made from recycled plastic.

CES may well be home to a whole bunch entertainment gadgets, but it’s also where you can expect to find peripherals designed to keep you going throughout the year. After all, it’s the place where practically everything in technology launches, and a few years ago, it’s where the power tech known as Gallium Nitride (GaN) launched, delivering more power in a compact design.

This year, GaN is back, providing more power on the go for folks who need a lot of it, as Belkin updates its range of power packs, among other things.

The new GaN models will include both a 70 watt and 100 watt take on the tech, both of which will be among the first of Belkin’s projects to ship this year with 85 to 90 percent recycled plastic, and it won’t be alone.

New compact wall chargers and cables will also see the recycled plastic, which has seen Belkin replace over 400 metric tones of virgin plastics as it moves over 350 products to the recycled plastics approach.

That’s great news for the environment and great news for your devices, as the tech aims to protect both.

Power packs for laptops and the like won’t be all Belkin is doing that’s new this year, though, and some of what’s coming already has a local price and launch date.

Take Belkin’s take on a power bank with a built-in cable, a 20K bank that’s a little reminiscent of the Anker Nano but bigger, providing a larger power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, set to grace Australia in April for $99.95.

A compact USB-C charger is on the way in the BoostCharge Compact, which will launch for $50 in the 50 watt model, and $70 in the 67W version.

Meanwhile, a wireless charging pad with support for Qi2 will be found on a kickstand in the BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Wireless Charging Pad, a single magnetic charger launching in July for $50 locally.

Creator gear is also coming in the form of new gear, including a set of wearable microphones and tripod in the Belkin Stage Creator Bundle, while the Stage Power Grip is a USB-C phone grip with a 10,000 mAh battery built-in.

Belkin is also getting into a little more sound, offering two models this year, the SoundForm Anywhere and the SoundForm Isolate.

In the former, you can expect a slightly water resistant in-ear design offering up to 27 hours of battery life, while the latter is Belkin’s first pair of over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation.

Noise cancelling headphones aren’t exactly anything new, so Belkin’s contribution will include a built-in relaxation track to play ocean sounds to tune out the surroundings if you want that. The SoundForm Isolate will also include up to 40 hours of battery life with noise cancellation switched on and support for both Bluetooth wireless listening and 3.5mm wired, with the back of 2025 when you can expect these in Australia.
