Pickr 2024 Holiday Gift Guides: Disney Fans

Whether you know someone who loves Star Wars or Spiderman or maybe Woody and Buzz, we’ve got some gadget ideas for Disney fans.

For the past few years, we’ve opted to include a little bit of sci-fi in our holiday gift guides, so much that there’s been a fairly regular emphasis on Star Wars, because everyone knows someone like that (us included).

However, the House of Mouse has so many films and shows, we’re looking at a range this year, covering a few options to keep the fans happy with a gadgety gift you can find in Australia.

Iron Man Mark 85 Helmet (Marvel Legends)

Price: $199

As a fellow Stark, it would be crazy for this journalist not to acknowledge one of the merch gadgets he wished he had in his home: an Iron Man helmet.

Mark 85 of Tony Stark’s collection, the Avengers Endgame helmet and mask won’t come with his recent assistant FRIDAY, nor will you get the crazy augmented reality technology built in, but you will find lights in the eyes and a mask worthy of any cosplay or costume. Now you just need to bring the rest of the suit.

Deadpool’s Head (Marvel Legends)

Price: $209

Alternatively, there’s a mask you can’t put on in the form of a talking head. Deadpool’s talking head, that is.

A little more than a plastic head, the Deadpool Head is an app-connected piece of hardware with motors and sensors, as well as 600 sounds in English of Deadpool being, well, Deadpool. He’ll also blink and move his eyes.

Apple Watch SE

Price: $399

You might not think an Apple Watch deserves to be on a merch list for Disney, but with Toy Story watch faces and the classic Mickey and Minnie options (complete with the duo saying the time out loud), an Apple Watch is a totally logical option for a Disney fan to have strapped to their wrist.

These Disney watch faces come with the Apple Watch, and are part and parcel of any model. If you nab an older model, they’re there. If you grab the most expensive option in the Apple Watch Ultra 2, you’ll find them there, too.

But at $399, the Apple Watch SE is a good all-rounder smartwatch for iPhone owners with Disney on-board.

Star Wars Ahsoka Tano Legacy Set

Price: $535

Somewhere between a lightsaber and a sword, Ahsoka‘s Lightsaber combination is a gadget and toy for fans of the franchise, complete with two sabres, two hilts, and both motion and impact sensors.

It’s more of a prop, but it’s a prop that takes batteries, lights up, and makes the sounds. Both sabres use three AAA batteries, and if you really want to feel like you’re living in the future, consider grabbing some USB-C rechargeable AAA batteries.

Robosen Buzz Lightyear

Price: $1799

On the extreme end of the merch world, there’s an extremely interesting robotic action figure from the Lightyear film about Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear.

High priced but packing clever robotic features, the robotic Buzz includes an illuminated suit, motorised jet pack with steam nozzles, and motors to make Buzz move. There’s even pan app to control it.

It’s probably not as cool as the classic Toy Story Buzz the same company makes, but that doesn’t appear to be out in Australia just yet.
